Flashy Bp Gets Win This Time In Louisiana Downs Feature Allowance

BOSSIER CITY, LA–MARCH 17, 2023–After coming up short in a second-place effort in her 2023 debut on February 24, Flash Bp rolled to a three-quarter length win today in an $11,000 LA-Bred Non Winner of Two for Fillies and Mares at Louisiana Downs.

Ridden by jockey Modesto Pina, Flashy Bp drove to a :15.508 clocking for 300 yards, equaling a 97 speed index with an 18 mph tailwind. It was the second career win for the daughter of multiple stakes sire Bp Wagon Train.

Trainer Wendy Garcia conditions the 3-year-old filly for owner Velia Gonzalez. Equine Empire LLC bred Flashy Bp from the First Prize Perry mare Royal And Flashy. She has banked $26,128 in 11 career starts.

Jj Lucky Jess, under jockey Rene Hernandez, earned $2,200 for her second-place effort.  Racing for owner Ismael Ramirez and trainer Jose Carrizales, the daughter of Jess An Idea broke her maiden in her last start February 24 at Louisiana Downs. J & J Stables, LLC bred the $20,587 earner from the FDD Dynasty mare Hy On Luck.

Jose Estrada Quarter Horses' Blue Bueno was a neck back to earn $1,210 for third.  Ubaldo Luna had the riding call aboard the daughter of multiple stakes sire Jet Black Patriot for trainer Alex Clark. Bred by Donald Lane Sargent, from the Jess Louisiana Blue mare McM Fast Dashin Blue, Blue Bueno has banked $18,620 in 15 starts. She broke her maiden at Louisiana Downs on January 5.

Im That Corona Girl, Im A Good Fridaygirl, Flawless Streaker and Patty Wagon Train completed the field.
