VINTON, LA–JULY 3, 2026–Delta Downs celebrates the Fourth of July with a 10-race program on Saturday evening, beginning at 6:15 p.m., highlighted by two of the track's premier summer events. The Grade 2 $270,810 Firecracker Futurity and the Grade 3 $149,670 Firecracker Derby feature the fastest qualifiers from their June trial heats in an exciting night of Quarter Horse racing.

The featured ninth race is the Grade 2 $270,810 Firecracker Futurity, in which the 10 fastest 2-year-olds from the June 12 trials will race 350 yards at approximately 9:35 p.m.

Mucho Man Lady has been installed as the 5-2 morning-line favorite after edging her trial by a head, posting the fastest qualifying time. The talented filly has won three of five career starts, including the Grade 2 Louisiana Downs Futurity and the Old South Futurity, and has banked $114,726.

Owned by Ruse Ranch, LLC, the Texas-bred daughter of KJ Mucho Macho Man is out of the Cosmograph mare Cosmo Traffic. Jose A. Garcia trains the filly, who draws the rail, with Jorge J. Garcia taking over the mount.

Ct Cyber Crime is the 7-2 second choice following an impressive trial victory. Undefeated in two career starts, the filly battled through the stretch before pulling away to win by three-quarters of a length. She races for owner Tiffany Anne Beaus.

The daughter of Cyber Monday, out of the Tres Seis mare Paint Me Tres, was bred in Oklahoma by Beus Quarter Horses. Viviane Hill conditions the filly, who will break from post eight with Leonardo Rodriguez aboard.

The Grade 3 $149,670 Firecracker Derby is the eighth race of the evening, with the 10 fastest sophomores from the June 13 trials scheduled to race 350 yards at approximately 9:10 p.m.

Shiny Cowgirl is the 5-2 morning-line favorite after closing strongly to win her trial by a half-length and posting the fastest qualifying time. Although she did not break sharply from the gate, the filly finished with authority, showing the late kick that has made her one of the leading contenders. A cleaner start in the final could make her even tougher to defeat.

The daughter of Tempting Dash is out of the Apollitical Blood mare Rise N Shine Cowgirl and was bred in Texas by Simmons Racing. Racing for owners Luis Armando Castellanos and Alfonso Rangel, she is trained by Santiago Villaseca and will break from post six, with Jorge J. Garcia returning to the saddle.

With two championship races featuring proven stakes winners, undefeated juveniles, and talented 3-year-olds, Delta Downs is set for an exciting Fourth of July program. As the best qualifiers from the Firecracker trials return for the finals, both championship events promise fast times, competitive finishes, and a memorable night of racing.
