MEXICO CITY, MEX–NOVEMBER 20, 2025—The Sunday program at Hipódromo de las Américas offers seven races, highlighted by the $12,832 Clasico Alfonso Patiño Martínez-Aceves. A compact field of six runners, three-year-old and up, who have competed in claiming races for 125,000 pesos or less through October 21, 2025, will battle over 300 yards in the evening’s main event.
El Cuervo Favorito leads the lineup as the 2-1 morning line favorite. The seven-year-old gelding shortens up from his preferred 870-yard distance and will rely on his sharp early speed to secure another trip to the winner’s circle.
Sired by Favorite Cartel and out of Super Perla Negra, he was bred in California by Steve D. Burns, DVM. Racing for Cuadra JJ and trained by Julián Gutiérrez, he will break from post four under rider Huberclein Gómez.
The second choice at 5-2 is Corona For Dr Jess, a lightly raced three-year-old filly with five career starts. She has finished on the board in three of those efforts, including one victory, and seeks her second career win in this spot.
The filly is by Dr Jess Perry and out of Mi Reyna Corona, bred in Mexico by Armando León. She represents Cuadra Valman Domain, is trained by Octabio Iván Becerra Águila, and will depart from post five with Arturo Vega Moreno aboard.
Completing the field are Testarudo (3-1) from post one, Alchise (5-1) from post two, Eg Phenomenal Gray (9-2) from post three, and Phenomal Fernandita (12-1) from post six. With a mix of proven veterans and emerging runners, these six competitors are set for a sharp 300-yard dash in the $12,832 Clasico Alfonso Patiño Martínez-Aceves.
