OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH 9, 2024–Nine middle-distance specialists, led by Im No Lawyer Butt, are entered in Sunday's 550-yard, $50,000 SLM Big Daddy Stakes (G2) at Remington Park.

A 4-year-old son of One Famous Eagle trained by Mike Joiner for owners Scott and Jaime Bryant, Im No Lawyer Butt will be making his first start since November 19, when he ran third, a three-quarters of a length behind winner Chasing AJ, in the 440-yard, $479,000 Texas Classic Derby (G1) at Lone Star Park. The sorrel gelding won two of this three outs at the Lone Star fall meet, including a 550-yard allowance-optional claiming race on September 23.

Im No Lawyer Butt drew post 6 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.

Other contenders include Kelly Yother Equine LLC's O Donovan Rossa, a homebred 6-year-old son of world champion Apollitical Jess who made his mark in 870 races last season. The chestnut gelding is coming off of a 5-year-old campaign during which he won three of seven starts, including the 870-yard, $50,000 Pauls Valley Stakes (G2) at Remington Park.

O Donovan Rossa's record also sports a victory in the 2022 SLM Big Daddy Stakes (G3). He drew post 5 and will be ridden by Roman Cruz for trainer Dee Keener.

Also on Sunday, nine aged Oklahoma-bred runners are entered in the 250-yard, $68,000 Mighty Deck Three Stakes (RG2).

Jose Cervantes Jr.'s JC Black Mamba, a homebred 4-year-old Ivory James mare trained by Toby Keeton, ended her sophomore season with a three-race win streak that included a neck victory in the November 19, 350-yard Oklahoma Horsemen's Association Mystery Derby (R) at Will Rogers Downs.

JC Black Mamba has also won three of four starts at the 250-yard trip. The mare drew post 7 and will be ridden by Bryan Candanosa.
