More Summer Sale Graduates Entered In Retama Park Training Races Wednesday

SELMA, TX–MARCH 4, 2024–Summer sale graduate continue to dominate training races this time of year. Retama Park will host its third training race card on Wednesday (Mar 6) with 24 of 33 juveniles entered being graduates of the TQHA, Ruidoso, Heritage Place, Los Alamitos or LQHBA Yearling Sales.

A six-race "non-wagering" card is set for a noon (CST) first-post. Training races at the San Antonio area racetrack are open to the public for free viewing.

The top eight high-sellers, of 24 sales graduates entered, on Wednesday come from the barn of leading trainer John Stinebaugh.

Rosies Rosie, a daughter of first-crop sire Tell Cartel from the champion producing Teller Cartel mare Cartel Rosie, will make her debut in the first race for owner Rds Legacy Racing.  The $75,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate is a half-sister to AQHA Racing Champion filly Political Rose.

Race 3 is headed by $50,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Sin Tachas Candy, a daughter of champion Jess Good Candy from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Sin Tachas Grace.

Stinebaugh will saddle the bay colt for owners Denis and Julie Schoenfoer and Jose Moreno. This is the family of world champion Streakin Sin Tacha and champion 2-year-old colt Dulce Sin Tacha.
