Trainer John Stinebaugh will saddle to six-figure summer sale yearlings during Retama Park's nine training races on Tuesday.

SELMA, TX–FEBRUARY 18, 2024–Leading trainer John Stinebaugh will send out seven juveniles in Wednesday's nine training races contested over 250 yards at Retama Park. Two of those brought a final bid of $100,000 each during last year's summer sales.

Fifty 2-year-old Quarter Horses are scheduled to take part in the second day of training races this year at the San Antonio area racetrack.  First post is set for noon (CST).

Stinebaugh will saddle $100,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale gradate Holy Pete for owner Zane Kiehne in the first race.  Jockey Ali Rivera will ride the Favorite Cartel colt from the West Texas Futurity(G2) winner Suze Returns by High Rate Of Return.

The second-dam is the G3-placed and multiple stakes producing Mr Eye Opener mare Brown Eye Suze. Holy Pete will race from the 5 position.

Not Any Wagon, a $100,000 Heritage Place Sale graduate purchased by Horton Racing, LLC will also start from the 5 position in Race 6 for Stinebaugh.  The Favorite Cartel filly is from the first crop of Grade 1 Mildred Vessels Handicap winner Curls Happy Wagon by Pyc Paint Your Wagon. 

The second dam is the stakes winning and multiple stakes producing Spit Curl Jess mare Eye Spit Curl Girl. Rivera is also named to ride.
