EVERGREEN PARK, ALBERTA, CANADA—JULY 26, 2026—O Seeyalater led every step of the way Sunday afternoon to capture the $28,985(US) Cox Ranch Canadian Distaff Challenge at Evergreen Park, holding off favored Miss Fancy Nancy by three-quarters of a length in the 400-yard feature.

Owned by Jeffrey R. W. Rath, the 6-year-old brown mare covered the distance in 20.494 over a fast track with a 15 mph crosswind. Trained by Wesley Oulton and ridden confidently by Larris Allen, O Seeyalater broke sharply from the gate and maintained her advantage throughout to secure the winner's share of $15,072(US).

Bred in Oklahoma by Wesley T. Oulton, O Seeyalater is by leading Canadian sire First Timber out of Howdoyado, by Pappasito. A $12,000 purchase at the 2021 AQHRA Yearling Sale, she improved her career record to 31 starts, 8 wins, 3 seconds, and 6 thirds, boosting her lifetime earnings to $166,560.

Heavy favorite Miss Fancy Nancy finished a determined second, beaten three-quarters of a length while another three-quarters of a length clear of third-place finisher First Famous Prize. The 5-year-old brown mare by Big Lew, out of Singles Cruise by Favorite Cartel, races for Barry and Janice Sather, who also bred her in Alberta.

Trained by Misael Moreno and ridden by Daniel Tavares, she earned $6,666(US) for the runner-up effort, increasing her bankroll to US$115,944 from 23 career starts.

Third-place finisher First Famous Prize closed well to edge West Southwest by a neck for the show spot. The 4-year-old sorrel filly, owned by Commotion Creek Contracting and WT Ranches, Ltd., is trained by Buckey Stockwell and was ridden by O. Hernandez.

Bred in Texas by Weetona Stanley, she is by champion sire One Famous Eagle out of Fancy First Prize, by Desirio. A $20,000 purchase at the 2024 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale, First Famous Prize earned $3,333(US) for third. The Canada QH Cup Futurity(G2) and Canada Cup QH Derby winner has earned $112,261.

West Southwest finished fourth, one length behind the third-place finisher, while Warning Shott completed the order of finish after breaking awkwardly and lugging in during the running.
