SELMA, TX–AUGUST 7, 2026–Ruse Man Crystal turned in the fastest qualifying time Friday night from eight trials for the $230,000 TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity (RG2) at Retama Park.

The trials featured 2-year-olds competing at 350 yards, with the qualifiers advancing to the August 22 final.

Ruse Man Crystal and jockey Victor Manuel Urieta Jr. dominated the seventh trial, drawing away from the field to win by two lengths. The sorrel filly stopped the clock in :17.869, earning a 95 speed index over the fast track.

Jose Garcia trains Ruse Man Crystal for owner K K Horse Racing. Bred in Louisiana by Ruse Ranch LLC, she is sired by KJ Mucho Macho Man and out of the Walk Thru Fire mare Crystal Sola.

Coming off a third-place finish in the Oklahoma Futurity (G2), Ruse Man Crystal has now won two of her three career starts and has earned $59,818.

Get Aggressive and jockey Claudio Ponce Aguilar secured the second-fastest qualifying time with a 1 1/4-length victory in the eighth and final trial. After breaking fifth, the sorrel gelding moved to the front and finished strongly in :17.949, earning a 93 speed index.

Owned by Melchor Mendez and trained by Jose Luis Sanchez III, Get Aggressive was bred in California by Steve D. Burns, DVM. The $50,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate is sired by champion and champion sire One Famous Eagle and out of the stakes-winning Favorite Cartel mare Tequila Sangria ($177,910). His female family traces to champion Quirky ($424,098).

Get Aggressive has won two of his three career starts and has earned $28,377.

Dk Marney 123 secured the third-fastest qualifying time with a dominant victory under Urieta in the fifth trial. The brown filly took command early and drew away to win by one length in :17.961, earning a 92 speed index.

Miguel Pizana trains Dk Marney 123 for owner CH Horse Racing LLC. Bred in Mexico by Cuadra La Presita, she is sired by champion Flying Cowboy 123 and out of the Corona Cartel mare Marney Jo.

Coming off a sixth-place finish in the Firecracker Futurity (G2), Dk Marney 123 picked up her first career victory and now owns a record of 5-1-2-0 with earnings of $15,287.

The $230,000 TQHA Sires' Cup Futurity (RG2) final is scheduled for August 22 at Retama Park.
