Jp Fast Dash and jockey Jorge Garcia cruise to a 1 1/4-length victory in the fifth of six trials for the $159,740 Big Easy Futurity at Delta Downs on August 7.

VINTON, LA–AUGUST 7, 2026–Jp Fast Dash cruised to a 1 1/4-length victory Friday night at Delta Downs to post the fastest qualifying time from six trials for the $159,740 Big Easy Futurity.

The trials featured 2-year-olds competing at 350 yards, with the qualifiers advancing to the August 28 final.

Jp Fast Dash and jockey Jorge Garcia broke sharply from post three in the fifth trial and quickly took command. The bay gelding drew clear to win by 1 1/4 lengths in :17.569, earning a 97 speed index over the fast track.

Trained by Josue Ponce for owner Julian Perez, Jp Fast Dash was bred in Texas by JP Quarter Horses. The gelding is sired by Ivory James and out of the winning Heza Fast Dash mare Mcm Little Rat. He was a $37,000 repurchase at the TQHA Yearling Sale.

Jp Fast Dash has now won two consecutive starts and owns a record of 3-2-1-0 with earnings of $14,930.

Fallin Angels recorded the second-fastest qualifying time after taking the fourth trial under jockey J. Ramirez. After bobbling slightly at the start, the bay filly rallied to take command and held clear by a half-length in :17.699, earning a 94 speed index.

Santiago Villaseca trains Fallin Angels for owner Luis Armando Castellanos. Bred in Utah by McColee Land & Livestock LLC, she is sired by champion KVN Corona and out of the graded stakes-winning Jess Louisiana Blue mare Louisiana Corona.

Coming off a fifth-place finish in the Old South Futurity, Fallin Angels has won three of her four career starts and has earned $18,099.

Mucho Man Lady finished second behind Jp Fast Dash in the fifth trial to secure the third-fastest qualifying time. Ridden by J. Ramirez, she chased the winner throughout and finished 1 1/4 lengths back in :17.764, earning a 92 speed index.

Jose Garcia trains the homebred filly for Ruse Ranch LLC. Mucho Man Lady is sired by KJ Mucho Macho Man and out of the Cosmograph TB mare Cosmo Traffic.

Coming off a runner-up effort in the Firecracker Futurity (G2), Mucho Man Lady has compiled a record of 7-3-3-1 and earnings of $163,659. Earlier this season, she won the Old South Futurity and finished third in the Louisiana Downs Futurity (G2).

The $159,740 Big Easy Futurity final is scheduled for August 28 at Delta Downs.
