SELMA, TX—JULY 24, 2026—Bludz Valiant Policy continued her winning ways Friday night with a strong closing effort to capture the $59,750-added Miss Retama Stakes at Retama Park.

Ridden by Luis Vivanco, Bludz Valiant Policy was third early before unleashing the strongest finish in the field to draw away by 1 1/2 lengths. The Ben Olaveson trainee covered 400 yards in :19.718 while earning a 107 speed index over a fast track.

Owned and bred by Three Bar T Quarter Horses, the 3-year-old filly is sired by champion Apollitical Blood and out of the Tres Seis mare Bp Tres Policies. Coming off a victory in the Grade 3 Selma Stakes, she improved her record to 9-6-1-1.

The $35,850 winner's share of the purse boosted her career earnings to $161,960. Earlier this year, she finished second in the Sam Houston Oaks, and as a juvenile she was a finalist in the Grade 2 Dash For Cash Futurity.

Full Moon Desire finished second under Juan Pulido after setting the early pace before yielding late. Racing for owner Leviram Racing LLC and trainer Heber Deyta-Melendez, the 3-year-old filly completed the distance in :19.961 with a 101 speed index.

Bred by Juan M. Lozano Jr. and Jairo Lozano, the $11,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate is sired by Chilitos and out of the Desirio mare Mystical Desire. Coming off a victory in the Grade 2 EVD Futurity, she now owns a record of 7-4-1-0 with earnings of $236,623.

Last season, she won the Grade 3 Sam Houston Juvenile Challenge Stakes and was a finalist in the Grade 2 AQHA Juvenile Challenge Championship Stakes.

Jose Herbert guided Ruse Dynasty 123 to a third-place finish after rallying into contention but lacking the final punch. The Bradley Bolen trainee covered the distance in :20.095 while earning a 96 speed index.

Owned by Debra Gotovac and bred by Carolyn Bay, the 5-year-old mare is a $38,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate. She is sired by world champion sire FDD Dynasty and out of the Tres Seis mare Tresor 123. Her female family traces to Dam of Distinction Hot Cash 123 and World Champion Cold Cash 123 ($1,209,781).

Still seeking her first stakes victory, she now has a record of 17-6-2-1 with earnings of $95,002. She entered the race off finalist efforts in the Grade 3 Selma Stakes and the Miss Sam Houston Stakes.

Magic Apollitical finished fourth and was followed by Lil Kool Marge, Sloww Downn, This Eagles A Leader, Celebratingtheeagle, Dm Bella Star, and Celena Olena.
