OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH, 20, 2026–The class drop from stakes company into Thursday night’s featured allowance at Remington Park put Chew Bac Cah into warp speed and she was never headed in the 330-yard race.

Jockey Ramiro Garcia was ready to fire with this 3-year-old Iowa-bred American Quarter Horse filly and when the gate popped open, it was all systems go. Not even a Star Wars stormtrooper could have stopped Chew Bac Cah from blazing to the wire in front on this night.

The daughter of Apollitical Jess, out of the PYC Paint Your Wagon mare Paint Or More, won her fifth race lifetime in only eight starts. She continued to show her affinity for the Remington Park track surface, winning for the second time here in three tries.

Trainer Jason Olmstead, who has won two of the first three stakes races this meet, had her ready to blaze to the win. Chew Bac Cah held off the closers, winning by a half-length in a time of :16.626 over a fast track. She earned a speed index of 93 for that effort.

The bankroll for Chew Bac Cah increased by $21,090 with the victory and she now sits at eight starts, five wins and one third for total earnings of $132,855. Chew Bac Cah is owned and was bred by Lunderborg LLC (Bruce Lunderborg) of Gibbon, Minn.

Chew Bac Cah is a stakes winner, having won the $95,000 Hawkeye Futurity as a 2-year-old last year at Prairie Meadows in Altoona, Iowa. She ran in those trials for Iowa-breds after winning a Heritage Place Futurity trial at Remington Park on May 4, 2025. Her time was not good enough to qualify for that million-dollar final. Chew Bac Cah made her last race of the fall on Nov. 11, 2025, finishing fourth in the Grade 3, $512,000 Black Gold Futurity at Will Rogers Downs in Claremore, Okla.

Finishing second behind Chew Bac Cah in a dead-heat Thursday night were 6-5 favorite, Racy’s Pilot, and Bf D Rageous, who went off at 7-1 odds. Chew Bac Cah was let go at 4-1 odds and paid $10 to win, $3.40 to place and $3.40 to show.

Remington Park racing continues Friday through Sunday, March 20-22. The first race nightly is 6pm with Sunday racing at 4pm.

The Saturday, March 21 card is headlined by the Grade 2, $435,395 Oklahoma Futurity, the oldest such race in the sport. The 85th Oklahoma Futurity leads a program worth more than $1,000,000 in purse money Saturday.
