Pour Me A Drinkk Powers Home in New Mexico Classic Futurity at Zia Park

HOBBS, NM—NOVEMBER 23, 2025—Pour Me A Drinkk delivered a strong closing kick to capture the restricted Grade 2 New Mexico Classic Futurity at Zia Park on Sunday afternoon, drawing clear late to win the $313,943 event for New Mexico-bred juveniles.

Breaking sharply under champion jockey James Flores and running into an 8 mph crosswind, the brown gelding completed the 350-yard distance in 17.238, earning a 99 speed index.

Bred, owned, and trained by Fred Danley, the son of champion Prospect To The Top out of First Cowgirl Flash by First Moonflash surged to the front in midrace and held firm to secure the winner’s share of $153,832 in the season’s richest state-bred futurity at Zia.

Pour Me A Drinkk raced to his third win in six starts and increased his earnings to $184,812.

Jingle Wood, a $77,000 Ruidoso NM-Bred Yearling Sale graduate, closed strongly from the outside to finish second by a half-length. The Woodbridge gelding, out of Ms Jingles by Bigtime Favorite, is trained by Clinton Crawford and races for Downtime Enterprises LLC, along with Christopher J. and Melody Lykins.

Bred by MJ Farms and ridden by Jacob Enriquez, Jingle Wood added $53,370 to nearly double his bankroll to $112,361, following another consistent stakes-level performance. He was third in the RG2 Mountain To NM Bred Futurity last summer and second in the New Mexican Spring Fling last April.

Cq Coyame Jessy, a gray gelding by multiple stakes sire Big Daddy Cartel out of Runaway Leonarda by Jesse James Jr, completed the trifecta after making a determined run from midpack.

Bred by Carlos Paez and Israel Bordier and racing for owner Israel Bordier, the juvenile is trained by Ismael Villalobos and was piloted by Jesse Levario. He finished another head back in third while collecting $31,394 for his effort. Fourth in the New Mexico State Fair QH Futurity(RG2) last month, he has earned $124,380.

Pour Me a Drinkk returned $4.40 to win, $3.00 to place, and $3.00 to show. Jingle Wood paid $3.40 to place and $3.00 to show, and Cq Coyame Jessy returned $5.80 to show. The $1 exacta of 9–10 paid $7.50, and the 50-cent trifecta of 9–10–8 returned $26.00.

Luxurie, Ima Gonna B Famous, Happyour, Sure Hit, Notjessaprettyface, King of the Rode, and Fire Powwer completed the order of finish.
