POCATELLO, ID—JUNE 29, 2025—A pair of promising three-year-olds, Notin Missing Here and Dnc Dynasty, posted the two fastest qualifying times on Sunday at Pocatello Downs to headline the field for the $15,000-added Bitterroot Derby final, which will be run July 20, 2025, over 400 yards.

Fastest qualifier stakes winner Notin Missing Here delivered a sharp gate-to-wire performance in the second of two trials, winning by a clear 1¼ lengths with jockey David Alvarez Jr. in the saddle.

The Utah-bred bay filly stopped the clock in 19.759 seconds, a 102 speed index, under clear skies and a fast track.

Owned by Michael K. McKell and trained by Sergio Canales, the daughter of Kvn Corona is out of the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Missmerizing. She was bred by McColee Land & Livestock LLC and was a $15,000 yearling purchase.

Notin Missing Here was second in the Gary & Sharilyn Blattner Memorial Derby in her last start, May 25, and won the Pocatello Downs Spring Classic Futurity in 2024. She has won or placed in nine of 12 starts and earned $43,281.

The second-fastest mark came in the opening trial when Weber Downs Invitational Stakes winner Dnc Dynasty surged from the outside to prevail by half a length in 19.772 seconds, a 101 speed index.

Jesus J. Canales piloted the sorrel gelding for W3 Farms, who both bred and own the gelding. Also trained by Sergio Canales, Dnc Dynasty is by Duponte and out of Dinastia Rose, a daughter of FDD Dynasty. The Utah-bred gelding showed good speed throughout to hold off late challenges and has earned $27,333 in 10 starts.

Both horses emerged from a competitive set of trials restricted to three-year-olds sired by participating stallions.
