OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 31, 2025–Js On Fire delivered a strong gate-to-wire run to win the $75,000 Boyd Morris Memorial Stakes-RG2 at Remington Park on Saturday, marking his second stakes victory this season.
Edging out his rivals over 400 yards in a final time of 19.470 seconds on a fast track, Js On Fire was the 6-5 favorite to win. He clocked a 99 speed index under the guidance of Bryan Candanosa, defeating Lucky Luke by a 1/2-length—the winning effort paid $4.60.
The 4-year-old colt earned $42,000 for the victory in a field of seasoned runners, increasing his bankroll to $182,358 from 15 starts. The victory improves his record to six wins and two stakes wins. His top performances this year include first place in the Remington Park Championship Challenge Stakes-G2 in April and second in the SLM Big Daddy Stakes-G2 in March.

Trained by Mike Joiner, the son of Hes Relentless was also a finalist in the Graded 1 Rainbow Derby and Grade 1 Texas Classic Futurity.
Bred in Oklahoma by Rancho El Cabresto Inc., Js On Fire is a bay colt out of As and Js, a daughter of Apollitical Jess. His owner, Joshua Owens, purchased him for $105,000 at the 2022 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale.
Runner-up Lucky Luke also put in a strong performance, running side by side up the track and finishing just a half-length behind. The son of Coronado Cartel has two career wins and $120,588 in the bank.
Reliance Ranches LLC bred Lucky Luke in Oklahoma out of Bling Dynasty, by Mr Jess Perry. The $60,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate is owned by Oma Hernandez and trained by Juvenal Licona-Vazquez.
Kiss My Hat finished third under jockey Nestor Duran. The 4-year-old gelding by Kiss My Hocks has a record of 1-1-1 from seven starts and $24,904 in earnings. He is owned by Alcala Ranch LLC and trained by Cristian Alcala.
Bred by Jovetta Meredith, Kiss My Hat is out of Sr Fly Baby by FDD Dynasty. He sold for $27,000 in the 2023 Heritage Place Yearling Sale.
One Stolin Eagle, Cowboys R Myheros, Sir James, A Legacy Of Tales, Rare Roy, Richrollnwagon, and Jess A Rednec Cowboy complete the order of finish.
