ALTOONA, IA–JULY 5, 2026–Corona Streakin Jess earned the biggest win of his career Sunday evening, pulling clear late to capture the $68,025 Cyclone Derby at Prairie Meadows.
Ridden by Alfredo Triana Jr., the bay gelding broke well and steadily improved his position before edging clear late for a half-length victory. He covered the 350 yards in :17.687 and earned a 90 speed index while collecting the $30,611 winner's share of the purse.

The gelding is by all-time leading broodmare sire Corona Cartel and out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Streakin Jesszee.
The victory improved his record to 10-3-2-2 and boosted his earnings to $101,998. He entered the Cyclone Derby off a runner-up finish in the Sam Houston Derby Challenge Stakes. At two, he finished third in the Jim Bader Futurity and second in the Hawkeye Futurity.
Rebas First Kiss finished strongly to earn second under Gonzalo Valles Jr., stopping the timer in :17.779 and earning an 87 speed index.
Owned and bred by Robert and Sandra Brown and trained by Jason Olmstead, the filly is by Kiss Me Anywhere and out of the Teller Cartel mare Tellher To Fly.
The Iowa Stallion Futurity winner now owns a record of 11-2-3-1 with earnings of $70,801.
Chew Bac Cah crossed the wire third but was disqualified and placed last following a stewards' inquiry into interference at the start. The ruling elevated Royal Candy King to third.
Ridden by Armando Alvidrez, Royal Candy King races for owner-breeder Summer Hill Farm LLC and trainer Jason Olmstead. The gelding is by champion and champion sire Jess Good Candy and out of the stakes-winning Teller Cartel mare Tell Her Shes Queen. His second dam is stakes winner Queen Of Anywhere ($45,726).
The Jim Bader Futurity winner improved his record to 8-4-1-1 with earnings of $125,164.
Paint Me Flying finished fourth and was followed by Follies Favorite, Ill Will, Ts Moonin All Night, Tetos Tres Boogie, Ts Out Of Cash, Im Sooo Smooth, Ts Daddys Girl, and the disqualified Chew Bac Cah.
