Vaquerita 4 Wins $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile at Remington Park

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MARCH  21, 2026– Vaquerita 4 proved best to win the $50,000 Oklahoma Juvenile on March 21 at Remington Park, covering 300 yards in :15.544 seconds.

Ridden by Nestor Duran, the filly overcame a slight bump at the start before taking command and holding off In D Mand by three-quarters of a length, while Dulce Vale rallied to finish third. The winner posted an 87 speed index over a fast track.

Bred by Sam Green, Vaquerita 4 is owned by Air Force, LLC and trained by Leonardo Alcala. The filly is sired by leading sire Flying Cowboy 123, whose progeny have earned more than $14 million, and is out of the FDD Dynasty mare Southern DD, a stakes winner.

The victory, worth $20,833, boosted her earnings to $22,758 from just two starts.

Runner-up In D Mand, the third-fastest qualifier, stopped the clock in :15.645 seconds. The gelding is owned by Palomino Trucking Inc., trained by Gerardo Quinones-Sarmiento, and was ridden by Juan Pulido.

A $17,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, he was bred by Cavenaugh Quarter Horses LLC. He is sired by champion Uncle D and is out of stakes winner Jess So Sixy ($145,535), a Mr Jess Perry mare. From two starts, In D Mand has earned $10,804 and posted an 84 speed index.

Third-place finisher Dulce Vale completed the course in :15.709 seconds. The filly is owned by Luis Carlos Muniz-Baquero, trained by Julio Rascon-Almanza, and was ridden by Roman Cruz.

A $20,000 Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale graduate, Dulce Vale was bred by Thomas Avitia. She is sired by leading sire Dulce Sin Tacha and is out of the Apollitical Jess mare Norma Tahiti ($10,904). The filly now has earnings of $11,579 from two starts and posted an 82 speed index.

Lethal Monday, Paulinas Knockout, Ivorys Version, Cheyenne Stone, and Leaf On The Wind completed the order of finish. Coronas First Cowboy and Pancho Bigotes were scratched.
