LOS ALAMITOS, CA–OCTOBER 26, 2025–The incredible racing family produced by the cross of the sire Favorite Cartel and the broodmare Remember Me Rose added another tremendous Grade 1 winner to the list after West Texas Racing Partners, LLC's Enforce led from gate to wire to win the second richest race contested so far in 2025, the Grade 1, $1,170,950 Golden State Million Futurity on Sunday night at Los Alamitos.
With Jesus Rios Ayala up for trainer Chris O'Dell, Enforce led the 400 yard futurity by ¾ lengths right from the start, maintained that lead past the midway point of the race and then kept Grade 1 Ed Burke Million Futurity winner Jess Im Worth It far enough away to score a ½ length win in a time of :19.720.
In the process, Enforce joins full-brother Runforyourlife as a Golden State Million winner while also joining his other remarkable full brothers, who are Grade 1 winners. That list includes Bomb Cyclone and Cyber Attack, both winners of the Grade 1 Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity; Powerful Favorite, winner of eight stakes races at Los Alamitos; and Cyber Monday, winner of the 2020 Ruidoso Futurity.
In his career, O'Dell has trained a band of five Grade 1-winning brothers from the breeding of Favorite Cartel and Remember Me Rose. O'Dell conditioned the millionaires Powerful Favorite, Bomb Cyclone, and Cyber Attack, plus the Golden State Million winners Runforyourlife and now the colt Enforce, who was purchased for $675,000 at the Ruidoso Yearling Sale last year.

Enforce arrived at Los Alamitos having won his Rainbow Futurity trial at Ruidoso Downs while also racing in the Ruidoso and All American Futurity trials. In his first start in Southern California, he finished second to Jess Im Worth It after having trouble in the trials, but then turned the tables on the outstanding EG High Desert Farms colt by flying to a clean start and winning at odds of 6-1.
"My recipe must be working, coming in fresh," O'Dell said. "All these horses (Enforce, Bomb Cyclone, and Cyber Attack) had one win before coming here. I love the bloodlines. How much success have I had with those bloodlines?
Trainer Chris O'Dell congratulates jockey Jesus Rios Ayala on Sunday night. © William Zuazo "When I saw him at the sale, I called Scott Bryant and I said, 'We need to do something on this horse.' He said, 'Let me make a couple of phone calls.' And that's what he did. He called me right back, and we bought him. I'm sure glad that he did. We're hoping the horse just keeps getting better. Tonight is the first night that we saw him believe in himself. He ran from Point A to Point B and that's important.
"We thought he would run down the track," O'Dell added. "He got bumped around in the trials. He came running. That family so far, most of them they'll run down the track, at least 400 yards. They've got pretty good heads on their shoulders. They don't make many mistakes. They just need to be able to get away. That's all I pray for just to get away without getting bumped. When I saw that he didn't get bumped, I thought he would get a piece of it. I was up in the grandstands, way up high so I could watch him. He got half, three-fourths away from there and I may have hindered him a little bit up there because I was riding him a little bit myself. I got to screaming and hollering and jumping up and down, these are the things we dream of, but they don't happen very often. They mean a lot."

He also won the 2018 running with the great Flash N Roll, who would then go on to win the Los Alamitos Two Million Futurity.
Bryant has enjoyed All American Futurity glory with the partnership of West Texas Racing, winning the 2023 running with Cowboys Gun Z. West Texas Racing also won the 2025 Grade 3 Oklahoma Derby with Cowboy Blue Z. Flash N Roll, Cowboys Gun Z, and Cowboy Blue Z were trained by either Mike or Justin Joiner, but it was all O'Dell when it came to Enforcer.
"We're so happy with Chris, the horse, the Burns, the breeding, just everything," Bryan said. "It's been a really fun experience. Talking about the horse, we've watched him mature and Chris has been talking about just giving (the horse) a 'minute'. Chris said, "I know how they work, just give them a minute' and here we are."

"We wait until the end of the year with these guys, even though we start them at Ruidoso. Powerful Favorite was a war horse. Most of the time we just need to be patient with them, that's with all of the horses. These horses are just runners.
"These guys, they're happy, they're pumped up. This is what it's all about. The horse did the job, but these guys had jump in there and buy him. You think they're going to be excited for the Two Million? Some of them are new owners and that's what we want and need."
Ridden by Ricardo Ramirez for trainer Jesus Nunez, Jess Im Worth It earned $194,472 for finishing second in the Golden State Million. Bred by EG High Desert Farms, Jess Im Worth is a colt by A Mere Felix out of the graded stakes-winning mare Jess Hawk.
Jess Im Worth It has earned $625,827 in his six-race career. He is the leading money earner at Los Alamitos this year. Jess Im Worth It was the second choice in the wagering at 8-5 odds.
Sent off at 38-1 odds, AJ Cyclone was sixth during the early part of the race before finishing strongly to earn third place. Ridden by Jose Nicasio, the Dunn Ranch-owned gelding by Apollitical Jess earned $137,274. Ramiro Castillo saddled the Rancho El Cabresto-bred runner. AJ Cyclone remains a maiden after six career starts.
Keith Nellesen's Beuteeful was dealt her first loss after beginning her career four wins in a row. The Kvn Corona filly, who won the Robert Adair Kindergarten Futurity earlier this year, broke through the gate before the start and was reloaded shortly after.
She showed early speed but eventually faded to finish seventh as the 3-2 favorite.
Fastest qualifier Doodah Cartel was the fourth-place finisher, followed by Whos The V, DR Stone Cold, Beuteeful, The Lady Is A Vamp, and DR Make It Sweet.
