Relentless Legacy Reigns Again in Cash Caravan Stakes

SHAKOPEE, MN–SEPTEMBER 6, 2025–Relentless Legacy proved why he was the 1-9 wagering favorite, powering home to win the $22,600 Cash Caravan Stakes on Saturday’s Festival of Champions Day card.

Under jockey Armando Alvidrez, Relentless Legacy secured his second career Cash Caravan victory, having first taken the race in 2023. The son of Hes Relentless stopped the clock in 21.996 seconds, earning an 87 speed index.

Relentless Legacy pulled away late, finishing 1 3/4 lengths in front of Five Bar Fantasy and Eos Try Nasty. He entered off another stakes score from the Bob Morehouse Stakes in July.

He has lit the board 16 of 25 starts with 10 wins, three seconds, and three thirds. Relentless Legacy has now competed in 11 stakes competitions, with four of them finishing in first place. The $11,300 winner’s share from Saturday’s victory lifted his career earnings to $161,655

Bred in Minnesota by Donald J. Friesen, Relentless Legacy is out of the Streakin La Jolla mare Legacys a Streakin. Leading trainer Jason Olmstead saddled the six-year-old gelding for owner Tom Maher.

Five Bar Fantasy broke from the gates in top star fashion under jockey Kelsi Harr, dictating the early pace, but could not hold off the winner’s late surge. The six-year-old daughter of Five Bar Cartel races for Tailored for Gold Stables and is trained by Jerry Livingston.

A $16,500 purchase at the 2020 Heritage Place Yearling Sale, she was bred in Oklahoma by S Bar S out of Ja Fantasy by Mr Jess Perry. Five Bar Fantasy improved her record to four wins, six seconds, and five thirds with $92,117 in earnings. She is an eight-time stakes finalist, including third-place finishes in the Canterbury Park Distaff Challenge Stakes-G3 twice.

Eos Try Nasty, bred and owned in Oklahoma by Corey G. Wilmes, earned her first black type with a determined third-place finish, just a neck behind the runner-up. The four-year-old daughter of FDD Dynasty is out of Try Everything, by Coronado Cartel.

Trained by Ed Hardy, Eos Try Nasty was ridden by Eugenio Navarrete Jr. Her record now stands at two wins and two thirds from nine starts with earnings of $36,570.

L Gallito, Brother Tommy, and Misstic Coronita completed the order of finish.
