ROCK SPRINGS, WY—AUGUST 24, 2025—Four trials for the $35,000-added Sweetwater Downs Maturity were contested Sunday at Sweetwater Downs, with Jkh Almost A Dynasty and Rlh Fouronthefloor emerging as the two fastest qualifiers for the 400-yard final set for Sunday, September 7, 2025.
The top ten fastest qualifiers from today's trials will return to compete in the lucrative final.
Jkh Almost A Dynasty, a multiple stakes winning filly by stakes sire Jr Dynasty Mountain out of Almost Early by Favorite Cartel, posted the fastest qualifying time of 19.462 seconds in the third of four trials.
Ridden by Gerardo Vera for trainer Calli VanTassell Dominguez, the 4-year-old filly scored by one length over Just A Flyin Cowgirl while earning a 106 speed index. She races for UDM Investments LLC and was bred in Wyoming by Gordon Knudsen.
A winner of six of 19 career starts, Jkh Almost A Dynasty has earned $99,771 with wins that include the Energy Downs 307 Fillies and Mares Stakes and Wyoming Bred Derby.
The second-fastest clocking came from Rlh Fouronthefloor, a five-year-old gelding by Jess Got Easier out of Sp Saint Patty by Saint Shackleton, who stopped the timer in 19.532 seconds with a 105 speed index.
Breaking sharply from the gates in the fourth trial, he led every step under jockey Jesus J. Canales for trainer Sergio Canales. The multiple stakes-placed Idaho-bred gelding is owned by Casey Whitaker and Michael K. McKell and was bred by R.L. Harrison. A winner of six of 12 starts, Rlh Fouronthefloor has banked $38,666.
Other notable qualifiers include Cowboyhatbygucci (:19.598), Just A Flyin Cowgirl (:19.636), and Tempting Cowboy (:19.682), setting the stage for a highly competitive final.
