EVANSTON, WY—AUGUST 9, 2025—Bill Doenz’s brown filly Divory delivered a powerful performance to capture the $91,950 Young Ford / Wyoming Downs Derby for 3-year-olds on Saturday afternoon, covering the 400-yard distance in 19.720 seconds for a 99 speed index over a fast track.

With zero wind interference and a temperature of 67 degrees under cloudy skies, the daughter of Ivory James out of multiple stakes producer Daring Diversion, by Strawfly Special, broke sharply from the inside post under jockey Julian Zavala and quickly seized command, drawing clear to win by half a length.

Trained by Josh Taylor and bred in Oklahoma by Laura A. Erickson, Divory earned $42,297 for the victory and was a $60,000 purchase at the 2023 Heritage Place Yearling Sale. She has earned $65,510 in 13 career starts.

Kissin Perfect, a sorrel filly by Kiss My Hocks out of Perfect Practice, by One Famous Eagle, finished second after a determined late run for owner and breeder Jason L. Berry of Utah.

Trained by Sergio Canales and ridden by Jesus Canales, she picked up a 97 speed index, earning $18,390. Second in the Wyoming Downs Futurity last year, Kissin Perfect has banked $74,250 in six career starts.

Jg Separatist Times, a gray colt by Turbulent Times out of Tat Team Usa, by Separatist, took third after closing with late interest. Bred in Utah by Israel Juarez and Sixto Garcia, he races for his breeders, is trained by Ignacio Buenrostro, and was ridden by Jesus Virgen.

Jg Separatist Times boosted his earnings mark to $33,769  after pocketing $9,195 for today's effort.

Divory returned $21.60 to win, $9.20 to place, and $7.60 to show. Kissin Perfect paid $4.20 to place and $3.60 to show, while Jg Separatist Times returned $7.80 to show.

The official order of finish was Divory, Kissin Perfect, Jg Separatist Times, Cb Docs Bella Terra, Glock 9, Favorite Buddy Bc, Cowboys N Fairytales (disqualified from sixth), Home Town Roll, Kaseys Spirit, and Gh Fabulous Version.
