Paint Me Lp Breaks Maiden In Beehive Juvenile on Sunday

OGDEN, UT–APRIL 27, 2025–Paint Me Lp broke his maiden in the $15,246 Beehive Juvenile Sunday afternoon at Weber Downs. The race featured a competitive field, but the son of Jess Paint Me displayed impressive acceleration and agility, making a decisive move in the final stretch to secure victory.

Ridden by jockey Minor Arana, Paint Me Lp defeated fastest qualifier Secret Of The Conn by a neck in 15.638 seconds, a 94 speed index with a 5 mph tailwind for 300 yards.

Trainer Dalton Hansen saddled the brown gelding to his first win in two starts for owner Legend Performance Horses, LLC. Curtis C. Jones bred Paint Me Lp in Utah from the Jesse James Jr mare Lp Loving Jesse.  He earned $6,861 for the effort.

Runner-up Secret Of The Conn picked up $3,354 for her second-place finish. Trainer Joe Hadley tapped jockey Jesus Virgen to ride the daughter of multiple stakes sire Conn Creek for owner-breeders Larry and Joyce Mower. Bred in Utah the brown filly is out of Sheza Vital Secret by We Have A Secret.

Perfect Exchange, under jockey Jose Olivo, finished half a length back to earn $2,592 for third. Sergio Canales trains the Utah homebred for owner-breeder Casey Whitaker. By the Walk Thru Fire sire, Genetically Gifted, Perfect Exchange is out of the thoroughbred mare Perfect Maria by Maria's Mon.

Completing the official order of finish were Ambrosia B. Myllay D, Jclc Diamond Miracle, Jr Reyzin Kane, Kracklin Dave, The Little Blue Bird, and Tempting Times.
