LOS ALAMITOS, CA—AUGUST 14, 2026—The catalog for the 22nd annual Los Alamitos Equine Sale is now available online, giving prospective buyers an early opportunity to review the yearlings and broodmares scheduled to be offered during the two-day sale on Saturday, October 3, and Sunday, October 4.
"We are excited for this year's sale and have some outstanding consignments," Dino Perez, PCQHRA Executive Director, said. "Our venue will be slightly different, but the tent and barn area will be relatively the same. As always, we appreciate all the consigners and buyers and look forward to a fantastic sale.“
Both sessions are scheduled to begin at 12 p.m. (PDT). The sale will once again showcase some of the Quarter Horse industry's leading bloodlines and will be conducted during the weekend of trials for the Golden State Million Futurity.
The Los Alamitos Equine Sale is California's premier sale of Quarter Horse yearlings and mixed stock and is managed by the Pacific Coast Quarter Horse Racing Association. The sale website provides information for buyers and consignors as well as access to the online catalog.
The sale enters its 22nd year following a record-setting 2025 renewal. A total of 154 yearlings sold last year for $7,021,700 and an average price of $45.595.
Sixth Sense, a Burns Ranch-bred colt by Favorite Cartel out of the outstanding producer Remember Me Rose, topped the 2025 sale at $730,000 when purchased by Rosenthal Ranch. Favorite Cartel led all sires at the sale with 33 yearlings bringing a combined $3,484,500.
The Los Alamitos Equine Sale has developed a strong record of producing major stakes performers and champions. Recent graduates include AQHA racing champion and 2024 PCQHRA Horse of the Year Lethal Cowboy 123, 2025 Ed Burke Million Futurity winner Jess Im Worth It, Governor's Cup Derby winner Mask Mandate, and multiple stakes winner Frivolous.
The 2026 Los Alamitos Equine Sale will be held Saturday and Sunday, October 3-4, with both sessions beginning at 12 p.m.
The online catalog and additional sale information are available at LosAlamitosEquineSale.com.
