AJAX, ON–JULY 6, 2026–The Wednesday program at Ajax Downs features an eight-race card with a 3:30 p.m. first post, highlighted by the $44,280 Ontario Bred Maturity. A field of seven Ontario-breds, ages four and up, will line up in the eighth race at approximately 6:25 p.m. to compete over 400 yards.

Had to Be Fabulous enters as the 3-1 morning-line favorite. The four-year-old mare comes into the race off a win in the $30,000 Norman Picov Maturity. She has made three starts in 2026, winning twice and finishing fourth once. With 14 wins in 16 career starts, she has earned $135,428.

The homebred for Carol Robertson and Jaime Robertson is by One Fabulous Eagle and out of the Hadtobenuts mare Had to Be Fandango. Trained by Bryn Robertson, she will break from post six with Ismael E. Mosqueira aboard.

Snow Moose is the 4-1 second choice on the morning line. The six-year-old gelding exits the Norman Picov Maturity, where he was squeezed between rivals and finished fifth. Prior to that effort, he rallied to finish second in an allowance race in May. A 10-time winner, he has banked $140,853.

The homebred for Milena Kwiecien is by Separate Interest and out of the Favorite Cartel mare Favorite Pearl. He is trained by Jason Pascoe and will break from post four with J. B. Botello in the saddle.

A competitive field of seven Ontario-breds is set to close the afternoon program, with several accomplished runners aiming to add another stakes victory to their resumes in the $44,280 Ontario Bred Maturity.
