SELMA, TEXAS–MARCH 23, 2026– Retama Park will host another round of schooling races on March 25, providing horsemen an opportunity to evaluate young prospects ahead of the 2026 Quarter Horse racing season.

A total of 87 juveniles are entered across 12 races, with the non-pari-mutuel events contested at 250 yards. The races are designed to give two-year-olds early experience from the gate under race-like conditions.

Among the entrants are three six-figure sale graduates.

In race 2, $390,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate Quien Sabe Hottie will break from the 4-post. The filly is owned by J. Barton, L. Bland, S. Bryant, and S. N. Allen, trained by Marc Jungers, and will be ridden by Christian Ramos.

She is sired by champion FDD Dynasty, whose progeny have earned more than $41.4 millionand is out of Caliente Carmelo ($97,867), a finalist in the All American Futurity (G1). Her dam is a half-sister to 2-time champion and All American Derby (G1) winner Hotstepper ($1,336,359). The female line also includes World Champion Special Leader ($292,605) and stakes winners Hotsempting ($682,793) and Hott Temptation ($374,196).

In race 4, $110,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate Kyss Thyss is set to break from the 4-post under Christian Ramos. The filly is owned by Tyler and Naia Graham and trained by Marc Jungers.

She is by champion Kiss My Hocks, sire of more than $17 million in progeny earnings, and is out of the One Famous Eagle mare Senorita Sweetness ($33,357), a half-sister to stakes winners Hes Limitless ($638,061) and Ls Jacks Back ($332,592). The second dam is champion and Grade 1 winner PJ Chick In Black ($652,081).

In race 5, $100,000 TQHA Yearling Sale graduate Not A Little Deal will break from the 7-post with Nestor Duran aboard. The gelding is owned by Reynaldo Munoz and trained by B. Pena.

He is sired by Dealagame ($230,836) and is out of the Jodys Money Pop mare Little Affection ($19,517). He is a half-brother to stakes winner and Grade 1 finalist Hawkabye Baby ($133,058) and stakes placed runner Tyler Durden ($26,267, in Mexico). The second dam is Romancing Mary ($163,294), a Grade 1 placed runner and dam of 2-time champion Kiss My Hocks ($1,199,385).

Schooling races provide an early look at the developing two-year-old crop, allowing trainers and connections to evaluate gate behavior, early speed, and overall progression. With 87 juveniles scheduled, the March 25 session is expected to offer an early indication of runners to watch during the upcoming meet.
