SELMA, TX–MARCH 11, 2026– Retama Park held its third round of schooling races on March 11, providing horsemen another opportunity to evaluate their young prospects as preparations continue for the upcoming 2026 Quarter Horse racing season.
A total of 100 two-year-olds were entered for the session, consisting of 45 fillies, 28 colts and 27 geldings, all preparing for their first official starts. Schooling races allow juveniles to gain valuable experience from the starting gate and under race-like conditions before making their pari-mutuel debuts.

The fastest runner of the day was Jess Let B Fly, who delivered the top clocking in the 10th race, stopping the timer in :13.51 after breaking from the seven post.
Owned by Jomas Race Horses, the filly is trained by Katie Carlos and was ridden by O. Martinez. A $52,000 Heritage Place Yearling Sale graduate, Jess Let B Fly was bred by the Homer A. Hill Estate.
She is by leading sire Flying Cowboy 123, whose first four crops have produced more than 200 winners and over $17.4 million in progeny earnings. The filly is out of the Valiant Hero mare Jess Let It Be ($186,279), a graded stakes placed runner and full sister to graded stakes winner B Leaving ($262,736) and Grade 1 stakes placed runner B Cause Im A Hero ($197,555). Her second dam is stakes winner Jess B Mighty ($63,104), the dam of stakes winner and new track record setter Jess B One ($258,911). The third dam is stakes placed runner Mighty B Doll ($48,455).
The second-fastest runner of the day was Sassy Wagon, who posted a time of :13.54 in the eighth race after breaking from the two post.
Owned by RDS Legacy Racing LLC, the filly is trained by Zackary Stinebaugh and was ridden by Gilberto Linares. A $52,000 graduate of the TQHA Yearling Sale, Sassy Wagon was bred by Dena Todd.
She is by five-time champion PYC Paint Your Wagon, a sire of more than 800 winners with progeny earnings exceeding $43.8 million. The filly is out of a full sister to champion Jess Walking Thru ($447,266) and graded stakes winners Fire And Sass ($140,756) and Sassy On Fire ($25,213). Her second dam is AQHA Dam of Distinction Jess Sass Me ($110,503).
Tomorrows Dynasty recorded the third-fastest clocking of the day with a time of :13.57, also coming from the eighth race after breaking from the six post.
The colt is owned by Zane Kiehne, trained by John Stinebaugh and ridden by Francisco Calderon. A $50,000 Ruidoso Select Yearling Sale graduate, he was bred by Brian Carroll, DVM.
Tomorrows Dynasty is by champion sire FDD Dynasty, whose progeny include more than 720 winners with earnings surpassing $41.3 million. The colt is out of a mare who is a half-sister to Mr Apollo Jess ($220,141) and Political Nonsense ($51,668), both graded stakes placed runners. His second dam is graded stakes winner A Delightful Legacy ($179,153), the dam of champion and All American Derby (G1) winner Inseperable ($672,756). The third dam is stakes winner and AQHA Dam of Distinction Fortune Of Delight ($100,269), who was also honored as Broodmare of the Year.
The Retama Park schooling races continue to serve as an important early-season proving ground as two-year-olds begin preparing for their upcoming pari-mutuel debuts later this spring.
