Prairie Meadows has adjusted the start time for Sunday's 10-race program in response to the forecast for excessive heat across central Iowa.

ALTOONA, IA—JULY 25, 2026—Prairie Meadows has adjusted the start time for Sunday's 10-race program in response to the forecast for excessive heat across central Iowa.

Track officials announced that first post for the July 26 card has been moved from 4:00 p.m. CT to 6:30 p.m. CT in an effort to provide safer racing conditions for horses and participants.

Among the highlights of the evening will be trials for the $70,000 Prairie Meadows Regional Juvenile Challenge. The trials are scheduled as Races 3 and 4 on the 10-race program.

Prairie Meadows encourages fans and horsemen to plan accordingly for the revised evening schedule.
