SUNLAND PARK, NM–JANUARY 31, 2026–The 2026 New Mexican Spring Futurity (RG2) is approaching its next payment deadline, with an $800 sustaining payment due Friday, February 6, 2026.

The Restricted Grade 2 event is open to New Mexico-bred Quarter Horses foaled in 2024 and will be contested at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. The futurity carries $150,000 added (estimated), including funding from the Sunland Park Purse Fund and the NMHBA Purse Enhancement Fund. Trials are scheduled for Saturday, March 14, 2026, with the final set for Saturday, April 4, 2026, at 300 yards.

Payment options include $800 due by February 6, followed by $1,000 to enter trials. Supplemental nominations will be accepted through February 6 with a payment of $2,500 plus remaining fees and trial fee, or $12,500 at the time of entry to trials, which covers all fees. Credit card transactions are subject to a 3% processing fee.
