Kansas Quarter Horse Racing Association Stallion Auction Closes January 31

By StallioneSearch

TOPEKA, KS–JANUARY 27, 2026–The Kansas Quarter Horse Racing Association (KQHRA) reminds owners and breeders that the Kansas Jackpot Stallion Auction is currently underway and will close at 11:00 p.m. (CT) on Saturday, January 31, 2026.

Live bidding also available during the association’s convention at Gilley’s in Park City, Kansas.

The Kansas Jackpot Stallion Auction—along with the Kansas Jackpot Futurity for offspring of participating stallions—was the first program of its kind in the nation. For more than 33 years, KQHRA maintained this tradition, and the association now has the opportunity to bring it back, better than ever. Continued support from breeders and industry participants remains essential to the program’s success.

A portion of the funds raised through the auction will be dedicated to the Kansas Jackpot Futurity, while the remaining proceeds will be used to help protect and strengthen the horse racing industry in Kansas. In addition, 5% of the purse money will be awarded to the winning sire owner and 2% to the winning dam owner.

As a non-profit organization, KQHRA is committed to creating more opportunities for Quarter Horse racing in the state. This renewed program will launch with the $50,000-added 2029 Kansas Jackpot Futurity, marking an important new chapter for Kansas racing.
