FORT WORTH, TEXAS–JANUARY 21, 2026– JC Speeding took off like a shot in his 2025 racing career debut. When the dust settled, he was named APHA 2025 World Champion Running Horse, Champion 2-Year-Old & Champion 2-Year-Old Gelding.

World Champion Running Horse: JC Speeding

JC Speeding made a splash in his racing debut in 2025, breaking track records and clinching his first APHA World Champion Running Horse title. The 2-year-old sorrel solid gelding set new track records in the Victoria Ennis Memorial (:16.522 over 330 yards) and Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity (:17.176 over 350 yards), both at Remington Park.

JC Speeding started and won four APHA races in 2025, generating earnings of $119,341. Notably, he also qualified for the 2025 AQHA All American Juvenile. Sired by Chilitos (QH) and out of High Speed Kitty, JC Speeding is owned by Planefun LLC of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. He was bred by Richard Joneson of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and prepared by APHA’s 2025 champion trainer, Dee Keener.
