OQHRA reminded owners that sustaining nomination payments for the upcoming 2026 races.

EDMOND, OK–DECEMBER 12, 2025–OQHRA sent out a reminder that the sustaining nomination payments for the 2026 Oklahoma Bred Futurity Derby and Oaks and Black Gold Championship Futurity & Fillies is due on December on December 15.

Recurring payments are automatically deducted on the 15th of each month. Owners wishing to drop a horse or stop automatic deductions must notify OQHRA in writing at least five days prior to the due date. The recurring credit card form is included with nomination materials.

Horsemen are encouraged to review nomination details for accuracy and notify OQHRA of any errors in horse name or ownership before the next payment cycle. Additional resources, including the December nomination summary and hair testing information, are available through OQHRA. Hair test scheduling can be arranged by calling (405) 881-5120.

Oklahoma Futurity, Derby & Juvenile
The nation’s oldest continually run futurity and its companion races will be contested in March with $250,000 added. Payments are $500 per month through February, with a one-time discounted payment option previously offered in October.

Remington Park Oklahoma-Bred Futurity, Derby & Oaks
Exclusively for Oklahoma-bred horses, this April program will distribute $400,000 in added purses. Payment schedule is $550 monthly through February.

Black Gold Championship Futurity & Fillies
For foals of nominated stallions, the Black Gold series is divided into two divisions, giving fillies the opportunity to run separately. The fillies’ division continues to be the richest race for 2-year-old fillies in the nation.
