DALLAS, TX–DECEMBER 3, 2025–StallioneSearch is turning up the volume on Quarter Horse racing coverage with the debut of its newly branded weekly podcast, “QH Racing Talk – Weekly.”
The long-running QH Racing Talk series has been reformatted into a consistent, once-a-week show, with the first episode now live on StallioneSearch.com and various other streaming platforms.
Built for the pace of today’s racing fan, the refreshed podcast will deliver a dependable weekly cadence: recaps of the previous weekend’s stakes action paired with previews of the industry’s biggest races coming up. The goal is simple—keep horsemen and fans current on what matters, when it matters.

Co-hosted by Greg Thompson and Bailey Ivey of StallioneSearch.com, QH Racing Talk – Weekly also expands the show’s conversational backbone. Each episode features special guests from across the industry—trainers, jockeys, owners, breeders, and others—who provide valuable context to the performances and storylines shaping Quarter Horse racing.
The premiere episode launches with Thompson and Ivey recapping stakes results from the weekend of November 22–23 and turns the page to one of the sport’s headline events: the $2 million Los Alamitos Futurity. The show features an interview with trainer Xavier Rodriguez, who discusses Grade 1 winner Political Twist and what lies ahead for the standout runner.
Listeners will also hear a timely update from Rick Baugh on the ongoing drive supporting the 2026 Ruidoso Downs race meet, alongside a conversation with Spence Kidney previewing the Champions of the Future Online Sale at Heritage Place.
The episode continues with Laura Joiner, who outlines details for the Sam Thompson Scholarship Fund stallion auction set for the 2026 Heritage Place Winter Mixed Sale.
A featured discussion brings in former AQHA Champion jockey Ricky Ramirez and Ruidoso Race Horse Hall of Fame trainer Blane Wood, who reflect on their win in the 2025 All American Futurity (G1) at Ruidoso Downs.
Thompson, who has already guided the show through 41 episodes, views the weekly shift as the right move for the modern racing landscape.
“The trend in just about any industry is an increased popularity in podcasts,” said Thompson. “In the Thoroughbred racing world alone, there are easily 10 or more podcasts covering the sport, with even some daily podcasts that have a substantial following.”
“We have always looked at StallioneSearch to give more to the horsemen and the fans of the sport, and we feel certain that the weekly show will fill a void for those individuals,” continued Thompson.
Ivey echoed that purpose, pointing to the bigger picture of visibility and legitimacy for the sport.
“I feel strongly that Quarter Horse racing deserves the same energy and coverage you see in every other major sport,” said Ivey. “With our weekly news, race recaps, and conversations from the people who shape this industry, we’re filling a gap that’s been missing for far too long. This podcast will become an integral way for fans, and horsemen to stay informed and stay connected.”
The new weekly format builds on a strong foundation. Over the first 41 episodes of QH Racing Talk, Thompson has interviewed many of the sport’s most respected names, including Ed Burgart, Johnie Goodman, D. Wayne Lukas, “Sleepy” Gilbreath, Cody Jensen, G.R. Carter, Danny Cardoza, Tom Dawson, Chris Lincoln, Billy Hunt, James Flores, James Lackey, Gilbert Ortiz, Ricky Ramirez, Joe Merrick, Richard Chamberlain, Cliff Lambert, Paul Jones, Kip Didericksen, and more. That legacy carries forward—now with a steadier schedule and broader weekly scope.
Episode 42—the first under the “QH Racing Talk – Weekly” banner—is available now on StallioneSearch.com. Past episodes remain on demand through the site, and the podcast continues to stream across StallioneSearch social platforms, iTunes, Spotify, and other major outlets.
Bottom line: Quarter Horse racing doesn’t slow down, and neither should its coverage. QH Racing Talk – Weekly hosted by StallioneSearch is here to keep the industry and its fans in stride—every week, all year long.
