Wyoming Gaming Commission Approves 75 Days Of Live Horse Racing For The 2026 Race Season

CASPER, WY–NOVEMBER  24, 2025–During the Wyoming Gaming Commission's Annual Fall Meeting held on Friday, November 21, 2025, in Casper, Wyoming, the Commissioners approved the requests by the four licensed state operators to conduct 75 live race dates in Wyoming for 2026.

307 Horse Racing, Inc. will offer 18 live race days with a different format for 2026.  Six (6) of those 18 race days will be held at Energy Downs in Gillette, racing May 23, 24, 25, 29, 30, and 31. The remaining race dates will be held at Wyoming Downs on June 5, 6, 7, 12, 13, 14, 19, 20, 21, 26, 27, and 28.

Wyoming Downs, LLC requested to race 20 days at the Evanston-based track in 2026, which will include Friday afternoon racing, as well as two (2) new Thursday events. They will run July 2, 3, 4, 5, 10, 11, 12, 17, 18, 19, 23, 24, 25, 26, 31, and August 1, 2, 7, 8, and 9.

The Wyoming Horse Racing, LLC will again run 18 days at Sweetwater Downs in Rock Springs, including August 15, 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, and September 5, 6, 11, 12, 13, 19, 20, 25, 26, and 27.

As requested by Cowboy Racing, LLC, the fourth racetrack that is still under construction just outside of Cheyenne, was granted 19 race days on September 25, 26, 27, October 2, 3, 4, 9, 10, 11, 12, 16, 17, 18, 23, 24, 25, 30, 31, and November 1.

The Wyoming Gaming Commissioners and staff, for 2026 and beyond, will continue to strive for the highest safety and integrity practices to ensure the health and welfare of both human and equine athletes, as well as the protection of the wagering public.
