Mystic Paint, 2024 AQHA Racing Champion, To Sell at Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale

OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–SEPTEMBER 23, 2025Solo Select, LLC has announced that Mystic Paint, the 2024 AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt, will be offered as Hip #419 at the upcoming Heritage Place Fall Mixed Sale, set for October 30 to November 1 in Oklahoma City.

A son of leading sire Pyc Paint Your Wagon and out of the multiple stakes-winning mare Jess So Sixy, Mystic Paint has put together an accomplished race record that includes the 2024 AQHA Racing Champion 3-Year-Old Colt title. He enters the sales ring with earnings of $327,538.

"In all my years around this business, I can’t recall another instance in recent history where a colt of this caliber — the reigning champion of his generation — is offered to the public at auction while still at the height of his career, " said Butch Wise, former AQHA President. Race Record and Accomplishments

Mystic Paint (SI-103) built his reputation through consistent performances against elite competition across multiple seasons. His résumé includes:

• Winner of the Keokuk Stakes (G3)
• Winner of the Will Rogers Derby Challenge Stakes
• Second in the Adequan AQHA Derby Challenge Championship (G2)
• Second in the Ruidoso Derby (G1)
• Second in the Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge (G2)
• Second in the Mighty Deck Three Stakes (G2)
• Third in the Oklahoma Horsemen’s Association Mystery Futurity (G2)

He was also a finalist in some of the sport’s most prestigious races, including the Debbie Schauf Remington Park Invitational Championship (G1), Leo Stakes (G1), and the Remington Park Championship Challenge (G2)

Mystic Paint's sire, Grade 1 winner Pyc Paint Your Wagon SI 107 ($889,582-G1), is the #7 all-time leading sire of money earners. He has sired 130 stakes winners and earners of over $43.3 million, including The Fiscal Cliff SI 109 (Champion, $580,425 [G1]), Curls Happy Wagon SI 103 (Champion, $360,674 [G1]), Mystic Paint SI 103 (Champion, above), Hooked N Gone SI 106 ($762,443 [G1]), Mr Pyc To You SI 97 ($488,820 [G1]), Pyc Fun N Fancy SI 104 ($478,760 [G3]), CUrls Joyful Wagon SI 100 ($466,005 [G1]), Painted Eclispe SI 111 ($455,753 [G2]), etc.

As a "Sire of Sires," Pyc Paint Your Wagon currently has 11 sons on AQHA's 2025 Leading Sires of Money earners list, which includes stallions such as world champion sire Frieghttrain B, Im A Fancy Pyc, Lil Kool Wagon, Pyc Fun N Fancy, etc. In 2025, sons of Pyc Paint Your Wagon will have sire earners of more than $6 million.

Mystic Paint hails from a proven female family. His dam, Jess So Sixy (SI-101), earned over $145,000 on the track and was a finalist in several major Grade 1 events, including the All American Futurity and Rainbow Derby. The colt’s second dam, Oh So Sixy (SI-101), was a multiple stakes winner and a proven producer.
