EDMONTON, AB—SEPTEMBER 11, 2025—It’s confirmed, O Seeyalater added another milestone to her career at Century Mile Racetrack, officially setting a new track record for 440 yards with her victory in the $46,395(US) AQHA Century Mile Championship Challenge.
The five-year-old brown mare by First Timber broke sharply under jockey Daniel Garcia and never surrendered the lead, stopping the timer in 21.589 seconds with a 97 speed index. The performance not only earned her the winner’s share of $22,270(US) but also etched her name into Century Mile history.
O Seeyalater, who already holds the 330-yard track record at Century Mile, is bred in Oklahoma by Wesley Oulton, who also trains her and is owned by Jeffrey Rath. Purchased for $12,000 at the 2021 AQHRA Yearling Sale, she has become a multiple stakes winner, now boasting seven victories from 24 career starts and $131,046 in earnings.
The mare has returned to Oklahoma, where she will prep for an outing at Will Rogers Downs (WRD) before targeting the $350,000-est. AQHA Challenge Championship (G1) on October 18 at The Downs at Albuquerque.
This latest record underscores the enduring legacy of her sire First Timber, while giving her owner Jeffrey Rath and the Oulton breeding program another reason to celebrate.
