The Texas Racing Commission wants to remind all owners, trainers and jockeys to check that your license is current prior to entry.

GRANDE PRAIRIE, TX–AUGUST 18, 2025–The Texas Racing Commission (TXRC) has announced that all owners, trainers, and jockeys must hold a current license prior to the entry of their horses.

Participants are encouraged to verify if fingerprints are required for their license renewal, as this process may extend turnaround times. Trainers should work closely with their owners to confirm that licenses are active and not set to expire during the meet.

The upcoming Lone Star Park Fall Meet opens Friday, September 5, and continues through Saturday, November 15.
