Retama Park's 23-day Quarter Horse meet includes 20 stakes races, highlighted by the $200,000 TQHA Sale Futurity-G1.

SELMA, TX–APRIL 17, 2025–Quarter Horse racing is back at Retama Park for its 30th season, starting Thursday, June 26, and running through Saturday, August 16.

The 23-day Quarter Horse meet features live horse racing every Thursday and Friday, along with alternating Wednesday and Saturday evenings. The first post time each day starts at 6:15 p.m. CT.

A total of 20 stakes races will be contested during the meet, highlighted by the $200,000-added TQHA Sale Futurity [G1] and $100,000-added Retama Park Derby on Saturday, July 25.

Horsemen and racing enthusiasts are encouraged to purchase tickets in advance to secure their reserved seats. General Admission, Reserved Grandstand seats, Clubhouse Box Seats, and Terrace Dining reservations can be made online at tickets.retamapark.com or by visiting retamapark.com under the Events & Tickets section. Advanced ticket sales and reservations for the May 3 Kentucky Derby, May 17 Preakness, and June 7 Belmont Stakes at the Clubhouse 95 Sports Bar are also available.

Retama Park has introduced several new events for its 2025 promotions, including Thursday night “Military Appreciation Nights” and Friday night “Live/Local Bands.” Fan favorites this season include Camel and Ostrich races on June 27 and 28, a Fireworks Show presented by the City of Selma on July 3, the TQHA Sales Futurity Race on July 26, the Diamond Dig presented by Americus Diamonds, and Wiener Dog Races & Family Fun Night on August 16. Tickets for these events can be purchased in advance.
