LEXINGTON, KY–APRIL 16, 2025–Exciting developments are underway at Sandy’s Racing and Gaming, with the commencement of construction on the $10 million Sandy Ridge Quarter Horse Racetrack in Ashland, Kentucky. Set to open its doors in 2026, the racetrack aims to become a premier destination for horse racing enthusiasts, boosting local tourism and providing a significant economic boost to the region.

This racetrack will occupy 182 acres behind Sandy's Gaming and is being developed by Revolutionary Racing, with project management handled by Walker Construction. The initiative promises significant upgrades to the area, including improvements to roads, bridges, and essential infrastructure.

Once completed, Sandy Ridge will be the only racetrack in Kentucky exclusively dedicated to Quarter Horse racing.

Walker Construction and Materials has been working on the site since 2024, focusing on substantial infrastructure planning to meet water, power, and sewer requirements. The project also involves constructing new roads and bridges to support the facility.

In addition, Revolutionary Racing has sold 50 acres to Boyd County for future development. Follow the progress at www.sandyridge.com.
