SELMA, TX–APRIL 8, 2025–American Quarter Horse racing returns to Retama Park for a 30th racing season beginning June 26 and continuing through August 16. The 23-day Summer Quarter Horse Meet offers live horse racing on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evenings – first post 6:15 p.m. CT.

Horsemen and racing fans are encouraged to buy tickets in advance for live racing and secure reserved seats. General Admission, Reserved Grandstand and Clubhouse Box Seats, and Terrace Dining reservations can be made online at tickets.retamapark.com or by going to retamapark.com under Events & Tickets.

In addition, advanced ticket sales and reservations for the May 3 Kentucky Derby, May 17 Preakness or June 7 Belmont Stakes in the Clubhouse 95 Sports Bar are available.

The Selma, Texas horse track has added many new events to its 2025 promotions, including Thursday night “Military Appreciation Nights” and Friday night “Live / Local Bands”. Fan favorites like Camel & Ostrich races on June 27 & 28; Fireworks Show presented by City of Selma on July 3; TQHA Sales Futurity Race on July 26; Diamond Dig presented by Americus Diamonds; and Wiener Dog Races & Family Fun Night on August 16 – tickets can be purchased in advance.

Live racing will occur on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at 6:15 pm (Central) from June 26 through August 16. Seats and dining reservations can be purchased in advance of live racing dates to avoid any lines when arriving at Retama Park. The track offers free seating in air-conditioned areas on the Clubhouse Level (3rd Floor) and Grandstand Level (2nd Floor), along with open-aired free seating on the Track Level (1st Floor) – general admission can be purchased in advance.
