RMQHA has released the stakes schedule for the 2024 Arapahoe Park meet set for June 9 thru September 2.

AURORA, CO–JANUARY 13, 2023–Dates for the Arapahoe Park race meet have been tentatively set from June 9th through September 2nd. Nomination for all of the 2024 Quarter Horse futurities and derbies are due Monday, January 15, 2024.

The open Rocky Mountain Futurity (est $80,000 purse) and Rocky Mountain Derby (est $60,000 purse) will run trials on June 10th and finals will run on June 23rd.

The restricted Colorado bred Cherry Creek Futurity (est ($98,000 purse) and Lucile Rowe Derby (est $67,000) will run trials on July 15th and finals will run on July 28th.

The open Mile High Futurity (est $93,000 purse) and Mile High Derby (est $84,000 purse) will run trials on August 19th and finals will run on September 2nd.

Stakes for older horses, 3 year old and up, with estimated purses of $15,000 each are the 350-yard Dolls Prodigy on June 9th preferred Colorado bred, 400-yard Leo Beau Dash on July 7th preferred Colorado bred, 350-yard The Pen Pal on August 4th open and the 400-yard Rocky Mountain Championship on September 2^nd preferred Colorado bred.

If mailing nomination forms and payments, along with copies of the horse’s registration papers,  they must be postmarked no later than the due date at the address on the form; the nomination forms can also be emailed to office@rmqha.com or faxed to 303-648-4363.

If paying by credit card, information can be filled out on the nomination forms, or you can call the RMQHA office at 303-659-7752 and they will take your credit card information over the phone. ALL horses nominated must be accompanied by a SIGNED nomination form so no information for the horse nomination will be taken over the phone.

Payment reminders and updated list of eligible horses will be sent by email to those that have a valid email address so when filling out your nomination forms PLEASE be sure to include a valid email address. 

Rocky Mountain Quarter Horse Association is offering a TRIPLE CROWN BONUS INCENTIVE for Colorado Breds for the 2024 Arapahoe Park Race Meet

RMQHA is pleased to announce a chance at a Triple Crown Bonus Incentive of $50,000 for futurities and $25,000 for derbies for the Colorado bred horse that wins all three races in their respective age division.  The horse must be stamped Colorado Bred by RMQHA.
