SUNLAND PARK, NM—NOVEMBER 12 2021—Nominations for the 2022 $100,000 added Grade 2 West Texas Futurity are due Monday, November 15 and for the 2022 $175,000-added restricted Grade 2 New Mexico Spring Futurity are due Wednesday, December 1.

For Quarter Horse foals of 202, the 62nd running of the West Texas Futurity will contest trials valued at $8,900-est. on Friday, March 11th. The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Sunland Park to compete in the 300 yard final on April 3, 2022.

The 2022 West Texas Payment Schedule :

• $350 on or before November 15, 2021
• $450 on or before January 1, 2022
• $500 on or before February 1, 2022
• $550 to enter trials (refer to Sunland Park 2022 condition book for date)
• Supplemental nominations will be accepted by January 1, 2022 with a payment of $2,500 plus remaining payments and trial fee or a payment of $10,000 at time of entry to trials (includes all fees).

Non-qualifiers from the March 11th trials will be preferred eligible(s) by trial time(s) for the $50,000-Guaranteed West Texas Juvenile stakes.

For New Mexico-bred Quarter Horse foals of 2022, The New Mexico Spring Futurity(RG2) will contest $8,900-est. trials on Saturday, March 12th. The 10 fastest qualifiers will return to Sunland Park to compete in the 300 yard final on Sunday, April 3, 2022.

The 2022 New Mexico Spring Futurity Payment Schedule:

• $300 on or before December 1, 2021
• $500 on or before January 15, 2022
• $600 on or before February 15, 2022
• $1,000 to enter trials (refer to Sunland Park 2022 condition book for date)
• Supplemental nominations will be accepted by February 15, 2022 with a payment of $2,500 plus remaining fees and trial fee or a payment of $12,500 at time of entry to trials (includes all fees).

Non-qualifiers from the March 12th trials will be preferred eligible(s) by trial time(s) for the $50,000-Guaranteed New Mexico Spring Fling stakes.
