Grant Farms has been named syndicate manager for #3 all-time leading sire of money earners Mr Jess Perry.

RUIDOSO DOWNS, NM–SEPTEMBER 1, 2023–In a shareholder meeting yesterday of the owners of the remaining semen of #3 all-time leading sire of money earners Mr Jess Perry, Grant Farms of Tioga, Louisiana was named syndicate manager. 

Grant Farms takes over the stallion duty from 6666 Ranch who originally syndicated Mr Jess Perry many years ago and stood at the industry changing stallion at the famed ranch in northwest Texas.

Jon and Donna McPherson, originally shareholders in Mr Jess Perry, own Grant Farms. The AQHA Racing Champion Breeders have bred and raced many of the stallions leading offspring included All American Futurity(G1) winner Mr Piloto.

"Dr. Glen Blodget and I had been friends for many years, and it was he and my wife who pushed to get Mr. Jess Perry to the 6666's. I had been there every step of the way with Glen and Mr. Jess Perry, up until both of their deaths," Jon McPherson said.  "I have bred many mares over the years to this stallion. I know that Glen would not want this horse to die off, and my goal is to keep Glen's dream alive and keep this stallion's namesake going. We want to thank and appreciate all that the 6666's have done leading up to today, but it is time to change things up and put this horse back in the spotlight like he is used to being in."

Breeding information to the AQHA Racing Champion will be announced at a later date, however the Louisiana Center of Equine Reproduction (LACER), in Opelousas, have become stallion managers on the remaining semen.

From 25 crops to reach racing age, Mr Jess Perry has sired, 2,614 winners, 164 black type winners, with earnings of more than $61.5 million and average earning per starter of nearly $38,000.

A prolific sire line, Mr Jess Perry is the sire of grandsire through the male line of 11 of the top 25 leading sires of money earners for 2023.
