One Famous Lil Lady (#2) holds off Vytaliti (#6) and Painted Seis (#3) in the $50,000 Yellow Rose of Texas Stakes at Lone Star Park on Saturday.

GRAND PRAIRIE, TX–NOVEMBER 25, 2023–One Famous Lil Lady got her first career stakes win Saturday when splashed home first over sloppy rainy racetrack in the $50,000 Yellow Rose Of Texas Stakes for 3-year-up Texas-bred fillies and mares at Lone Star Park.

Under jockey Ali Rivera, One Famous Lil Lady completed the 400 yards in :19.588, equaling a 98 speed index, to win by a neck over the sloppy (sealed) racing surface. She earned $28,500 for the effort.

Trainer Zackary Stinebaugh saddled the daughter of leading sire One Famous Eagle to her fourth career win for owner-breeder Pete A. Scarmardo. Second in the Miss Retama Stakes two races back, One Famous Lil Lady has earned $93,126 in 13 career starts.

Bred in Texas, from the First Down Dash mare Lady Lilia, One Famous Lil Lady is a sister to Grade 2 winner the #5 leading second-crop sire of 2023, This Is An Eagle.

 Coming off a win in the Grade 1 AQHA Distaff Challenge Championship in Lone Star Park October 21, Vytaliti picked up $8,500 for owner Victor Diaz for her second-place effort.

James J. Gonzalez III saddled the daughter of Mr Jess Perry from the First Down Dash mare Zenergy. Champion jockey Francisco Calderon was aboard the $193,225 money earner bred by champion breeder Bobby D. Cox.

Starting off back-to-back wins that included the All American Oaks Invitational at Ruidoso Downs, Painted Seis finished a neck back in the blanket finish as the post time favorite to earn $5,000 for third.

Tony Keeton trains the daughter of leading sire Tres Seis for owner Danny Joe Miller. Bred by Tyler and Naia Graham, from the Pyc Paint Your Wagon mare Jakes Painted Wagon, Painted Seis was ridden by jockey Bryan Candanosa. She has earned $137,791 in 11 career starts.

You Look Famous, Moonin My Memories, Lipstick Promise Cmc This Chick Rocks, Five Bar Willie and Razimitaz completed the field.
