With Larren Delorme in the irons, Redoinit clocks the fastest qualifying time to the Chippewa Downs Mixed Futurity on Sunday afternoon.

BELCOURT, ND–JUNE 18, 2022–Ten horses competed in two trial heats for the 300-yard Chippewa Downs Mixed Futurity Sunday afternoon. The top 3 fastest qualifiers came from the first trial race for North Dakota breds on a fast track with a 15 mph crosswind. 

Post time favorite Redoinit, ridden by Larren Delorme, broke out of the two hole in third place but quickly gained momentum to lead at the stretch and kept it to the wire. The gelding son of Ima Ramblin On broke his maiden in :16.430 seconds and defeated Special Dipper by 3/4-length for the fastest qualifying time to the Chippewa Downs Mixed Futurity in Belcourt, North Dakota. 

Redoinit is conditioned by Mallory Norton and owned by Steve Leonard. The Randy and Sharlene Lynn Reuer bred gelding is out of Bigtime Folly by Bigtime Favorite.

Runner-up in the first trial heat was Special Dipper, who clocked the second fastest qualifying time with jockey Giovany Estrada in the irons. His sire Six Figure Sixes is one of two stallions who had multiple finalists from the trials. 

Special Dipper’s owner/trainer Mark Allery also owns/trains Volcoms Shadow, who qualified to the 300-yard stakes race as well. The Michael Groce bred gelding is out of Denises Doll by Ima Ramblin On.

Corona B sired two qualifiers to the Chippewa Downs Mixed Futurity, including third fastest qualifier Ima Flashy Corona and fourth fastest qualifier Miss Vals Corona. The two John Bubel homebreds were both ridden by Evan Herman.

Ima Flashy Corona has lit the board in both of his lifetime starts for trainer Leo Joe Herman. His dam is Dashin Silk Coat by Such Easy Cash. Miss Vals Corona, conditioned by Terry Davis, is out of the Dashing Val mare Miss Salty Val.
