There He Goes Springs the Upset in the $45,550 Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity

EVANSTON, WY – JUNE 18, 2022–As the second longest shot on the board, There He Goes was the surprise 20-1 winner of the $45,550 Ron Cook Wyoming Bred Futurity, the feature race of the Saturday afternoon card at Wyoming Downs.

There He Goes ($43.00) defeated Chasing Glock by a neck in the 330-yard final and stopped the clock in :17.070 for an 85 speed index.

Tyson Lusk was aboard for trainer Riley Moosman, who swept the trifecta with his barn and trained seven of the starters.

There He Goes is owned by Ridge Woodward and was bred by Brady Woodward and Ron Moosman, out of Separate Moves, by Maknmoves. The top three finishers were each sired by Glock.

There He Goes was the tenth fastest qualifier from eight trials and finished second in his trial to Grey Dust, who returned to run third in the final. He debuted in his trial and earned $20,953 in his first career stakes win.

Chasing Glock and Jesus Canales were beaten by a neck and finished in second place for owners and breeders Bud and Toni Pendleton. The gelding is out of Leading the Chase, by Chase the Leader.

Chasing Glock won his trial as the second fastest qualifier and broke his maiden in the debut effort. He earned $9,110 in the final as the runner up.

Seventh fastest qualifier Grey Dust rounded out the Moosman trifecta with Jesus Virgen in the irons. The Glock filly made a strong closing move to finish third by a nose and earned $4,555 for her effort in the final.

Grey Dust is a homebred for Jim Nebeker, out of the Maknmoves mare Out of the Dust. She debuted in her trial win in June.

Completing the field were Makin Turtlemoves, Edelstein, Mountain Creek Dust, The Eagle Way, Knud Politics, Sundancin Kid and Lanes Dynasty.
