TOPEKA, KS—MARCH 30, 2015—Kansas horsemen are continuing to make progress in effort to bring horse racing back to Kansas, and are looking for continued support and communication with legislators to pass SB 192.

Last week, OQHRA Executive Director Debbie Schauf and AQHA Director of Racing Trey Buck arrived in Topeka to meet with legislators. The legislative session is nearing its end, but SB 192 is exempt from committee deadlines, giving options throughout the legislative session.

Next week, the legislature will break for three weeks. Kansas horsemen are encouraged to contact legislators in support of SB 192, or talk to them directly as the legislators return to their communities.
