ATLOONA, IA–AUGUST 13, 2026–The Friday evening card at Prairie Meadows will spotlight championship-caliber Quarter Horse racing, with an 11-race program starting at 5:00 p.m. The card features three stakes finales: the Grade 2 $53,856 AQHA Racing Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge, the Grade 3 $38,148 Cox Ranch Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge, and the $75,650 Iowa Stallion QH Futurity.

With proven champions, Grade 1 winners, and familiar rivals meeting early on the card, Friday's stakes program will quickly deliver its marquee matchups. The Championship Challenge and Distaff Challenge will set the stage, and the evening's stakes action will conclude with a talented group of Iowa-bred juveniles competing in the $75,650 Iowa Stallion QH Futurity.

The fourth race will feature the ten fastest qualifiers from the July 24 trial heats, returning for the $75,650 Iowa Stallion QH Futurity. The field of Iowa-bred 2-year-olds is scheduled to load into the gate at approximately 6:15 p.m. for the 350-yard finale.

Devins Dream leads the field as the 2-1 morning-line favorite after beginning her young career with two wins in two starts. The undefeated filly delivered another strong performance in her trial, taking command and opening a one-length advantage. Despite drifting out late, she held on by a neck to post the fastest qualifying time.

Devins Dream, the daughter of Rapid Ivory, is out of the Dashing Seis mare Cyg Shes Smoke Free and was bred in Iowa by Dan Means and Curt Paulsen. She races for owner Barbara McClelland and is trained by Sharlene Reuer. Devins Dream will break from post three with her regular rider, Cristian Alvarado, aboard.

Ts Gray N Famous enters as the 5-2 second choice on the morning line and will get another chance to challenge the favorite after the two fillies met in their trial heat. Ts Gray N Famous stumbled at the start but recovered with a determined bid, finishing a neck behind Devins Dream and recording the second-fastest qualifying time.

The filly has made three career starts and entered the trials following a maiden victory. Her trial effort showed she could overcome early trouble and still make a serious run at the fastest qualifier, setting up a rematch between the top two qualifiers in Friday's final.

Thomas J. Scheckel's Iowa homebred is by Fast N Famous Jeans and out of the Mr Jess Perry mare Mrs Aqua Perry. Fernando Manriquez trains Ts Gray N Famous, who will break from post six with jockey Cristian R. Esqueda aboard.

The Iowa Stallion QH Futurity will cap a stakes-filled opening to Friday's program. The action begins in race two with the 29th running of the Grade 2 $53,856 AQHA Racing Prairie Meadows Championship Challenge, in which seven 3-year-olds and older will compete at 440 yards, led by recent stakes winner Curls Magic Wagon and defending champion Hooked N Gone.

Race three will continue the stakes action with the 23rd running of the Grade 3 $38,148 Cox Ranch Prairie Meadows Distaff Challenge. Seven fillies and mares will compete at 400 yards, and the race is scheduled for approximately 5:50 p.m.

From accomplished older runners to rising Iowa-bred juveniles, the first three stakes races of Friday's program will feature some of the night's most anticipated matchups. Devins Dream will attempt to keep her perfect record intact in the finale, while Ts Gray N Famous and the rest of the field look to turn the tables with $75,650 on the line.
