Tahitis French Kiss headlines the second of two Mile High Futurity trials Friday at Arapahoe Park as the 6-5 morning-line favorite.

AURORA, CO–JULY 29, 2026–The Friday afternoon program at Arapahoe Park features a seven-race card beginning at 1:00 p.m., with races three and four drawing the spotlight as 13 promising juveniles compete in two trial heats for the Mile High Futurity. The 2-year-olds will race 400 yards in hopes of posting one of the ten fastest qualifying times to advance to the August 16 Mile High Quarter Horse Futurity Finals, which will carry an estimated purse of $79,000.

The opening trial, scheduled as race three at approximately 2:00 p.m., features a field of six led by 2-1 morning-line favorite Ar First Pretty Boy. The gelding has put together a solid start to his career, with four starts, one victory, and a third-place finish, earning $12,773. After nearly a month away from competition, he returns fresh for his bid to secure a place in the finals.

Bred in Kansas by Aguileras Racing, LLC, Ar First Pretty Boy is by Stevie B First Cash and out of the Lota Pyc mare Lotas First. Trainer Haley N. Hobbs sends him out from post four, with Fernando Fonseca-Soto aboard, as they look to punch their ticket to championship day.

Hobbs will also saddle the standout in the second and final trial, while Tahitis French Kiss headlines race four as the 6-5 morning-line favorite. The Colorado-bred filly enters the trials off a tremendous effort in the Cherry Creek Futurity on July 5, narrowly losing by a nose after leading most of the stretch. She has been remarkably consistent in five career starts, posting two victories and two runner-up finishes while banking $33,945.

Owned and bred by Francisco J. Cornejo, Tahitis French Kiss is a daughter of Kiss My Hocks, out of the Wave Carver mare Tahiti Wave. She will also break from post four, with Fernando Fonseca-Soto in the saddle, giving the Hobbs-Fonseca-Soto team a strong opportunity to qualify two runners for the finals.

With an estimated $79,000 championship awaiting the fastest qualifiers, Friday's Mile High Futurity trials promise an exciting afternoon of racing as the sport's next generation of Quarter Horses competes for a shot at finals day at Arapahoe Park.
