TULSA, OK–JUNE 17, 2026–The Saturday evening card at Fair Meadows promises an exciting showcase for the Paint and Appaloosa breeds as a ten-race program gets underway with a 6:00 p.m. first post. The evening will be highlighted by the Grade 2 $12,500 Tulsa State Fair Stakes and the $15,000 APHA Maiden Stakes, giving some of the region’s most promising young runners an opportunity to add black type and valuable earnings to their resumes.
The spotlight first turns to the second race of the evening, where six juvenile Paint and Appaloosa runners are set to sprint 350 yards in the Grade 2 $12,500 Tulsa State Fair Stakes at approximately 6:25 p.m.
Trainer Matt Whitekiller sends out two contenders in the feature, including morning-line favorite Dallas North Tollway at 7-5. The talented filly earned her way into the Grade 1 $231,400 Speedhorse Graham Paint & Appaloosa Futurity by winning her trial. Although she faded late after contesting the early pace in the rich final, the experience against top-level competition could prove valuable as she returns to stakes company. Through four career starts, she has earned $15,435.
Owned and bred in Oklahoma by Steven Imhof, Dallas North Tollway is a daughter of Painted Turnpike, out of the Crm Livewire mare Patron At Sunset. She will break from post five with veteran jockey Cody R. Smith aboard as she seeks her second career victory.
The fourth race features another competitive field of juveniles, with nine Paint runners lining up for the $15,000 APHA Maiden Stakes. Scheduled for approximately 7:15 p.m., the 330-yard contest offers several lightly raced youngsters a chance to secure their first career victory.
Amplified Kool 918, the 2-1 morning-line favorite for trainer Dee Keener, leads the field. Still seeking her first win, the filly has already proven she belongs among quality company by qualifying for the $115,300 PSBA American Paint Classic Futurity and finishing a strong third in the final. Her efforts have produced $14,088 in earnings for owner 918 Bloodstock.
The Oklahoma-bred daughter of Painted Turnpike, out of the One Sweet Jess mare Kool Jess, was bred by Jay Ross and will leave from post eight under jockey Mario Delgado. Keener will also be well represented in the race, saddling Collective Power at 3-1 and Rp Miss Wiredreckless at 8-1, giving the veteran conditioner a strong hand in the juvenile stakes event.
With a full evening of racing on tap, Fair Meadows fans will have plenty to look forward to as emerging Paint and Appaloosa talent takes center stage.
