AJAX, ONT–JUNE 2 2026–First Line Racing Syndicate's feisty, black gelding Hesmagicalydelicious will have his biggest test at Ajax Downs this Wednesday, June 3, when he competes in one of two Trial dashes for the Unclassified Stakes.

The Trial races make up a super card of Quarter Horse racing this week as reigning Horse of the Year Had To Be Fabulous is entered in race 6, seeking her 11th straight victory.

Hesmagicalydelicious has been a lucky horse for the First Line Racing Syndicate, a group of about 20 racing fans, some of whom have been with the successful ownership group since its formation a decade ago. Trained by Bob Broadstock, Hesmagicalydelicious has won more races than any of the other 12 starters in the two Trials which will be run at 330 yards.

The gelding won his 2026 opener, his fourth career win, on May 13. Should the gelding record one of the 10 fastest times from the Trials, he will advance to the $30,000-added final on Father's Day, June 21.

"He's always full of energy," said Jen Moses, a longtime syndicate member. "And when he gets on the track, he just starts jumping around and he's excited."

Hesmagicalydelicious is in the second Trial which is race 3. The first Trial, race 2, includes recent winner My Royal Swinger, who provided his jockey Corry Beland with his first victory.
