OKLAHOMA CITY, OK–MAY 27, 2026–The final night of the Remington Park meet promises a thrilling sendoff as Oklahoma’s richest night of Quarter Horse racing takes center stage Saturday evening. A star-studded twelve-race card featuring the nation’s top Quarter Horses, Paints, and Appaloosas will bring together championship talent, rising juveniles, and fan favorites for an unforgettable night under the lights. The first race is set for 5:00 PM, setting the stage for an evening packed with elite competition and million-dollar moments.
The spotlight early in the night belongs to the Paint and Appaloosa division, as the ten fastest juveniles return from the May 16th trials for the Grade 1 $224,600 Speedhorse Graham Paint and Appaloosa Futurity Finals at 350 yards. The championship field is led by undefeated sensation Big Rotney, the 5-2 morning-line favorite, who has quickly become one of the meet's biggest stars.
Big Rotney earned his spot in the final with a commanding three-quarter length victory in the trials and enters Saturday undefeated in five career starts. The talented gelding already owns victories in both the Grade 1 $115,300 American Paint Classic Futurity and the Grade 1 Oklahoma Paint and Appaloosa Futurity, proving himself as one of the top juveniles in the country. The son of Painted Turnpike out of the Crm Livewire mare Crm Country Girl was bred in Oklahoma by his trainer, Matt Whitekiller, and continues his successful partnership with all-time leading Paint jockey Cody R. Smith. The fan favorite will leave from post six as he looks to cap off a perfect meet with another Grade 1 victory.
The Paint and Appaloosa stakes action begins even earlier in the evening with the Grade 1 $20,000 Speedhorse Graham Paint and Appaloosa Stakes, featuring an extremely talented field of older runners competing at 350 yards. The race appears highly competitive on paper, with only a narrow margin separating several of the top contenders.
Turbulent has been installed as the 3-1 morning-line favorite after flashes of brilliance throughout the meet. The three-year-old filly finished third in a dramatic three-way finish in the $20,000 Paul Harber Memorial Stakes earlier this season, despite encountering trouble during the race.
The daughter of Painted Turnpike out of the Sf Royal Quick Flash mare Turbulence has earned $133,274 with five lifetime victories for owners 918 Bloodstock. Bred in Oklahoma by Alexia Willis, she will be sent out by leading trainer Dee Keener from post seven, with Mario Delgado picking up the mount.
As the night progresses, excitement and purse money continue to grow, building toward the richest race of the evening and one of the most prestigious events in Quarter Horse racing. The Grade 1 $1,158,940 Heritage Place Futurity will headline the twelfth and final race of the night, providing a spectacular finale to the Remington Park season.
From elite Paint and Appaloosa stars to the nation’s top Quarter Horse juveniles, Saturday’s closing-night program promises to showcase the very best of Oklahoma’s racing. With championship dreams, million-dollar purses, and unforgettable performances on the line, Remington Park is set for a grand finale worthy of one of the sport’s premier meets.
